Demolding is an important process in the production process of hand-glued FRP products. In order to successfully demold the product, the mold design should be reasonable.
The industry knows that synthetic resins have good adhesion. Even if the surface of the mold is smooth, the product will stick to the mold. To achieve a good release effect, use a highly effective release agent. If improperly selected, it will not only bring great difficulties to the construction, but also damage the molds and products, directly affecting product quality and production efficiency, resulting in irreparable losses!
However, in the production process, there is always a case where the mold release is still used with the release agent. The common method of demolding the FRP products may not be useful at this time, so you can try the unconventional method:
- Cutting and peeling: cutting the product into several parts and peeling off to ensure that the mold is in good condition;
- Use wedges: use wooden wedges to separate the gap between the product and the mold by hammer tapping to separate them. There are many wedges available, but they cannot be opened with objects with hardness greater than FRP (to avoid damage to the product or mold);
- the use of temperature difference: the product and the mold together in the sun to explode, because the FRP heat conduction is relatively slow, the FRP products on the mold will expand first after heating, and then generate internal stress, and then use the sniper method is easy to separate;
- Irrigation: If the product has been partially separated, there is still some adhesion, which can be filled into the gap and then separated by wedges. When encountering a deeper product, the product can be separated from the mold by the buoyancy of water.
